Lesson 5 of 5

Spend, save, share

4 min read

Here's a simple idea that even grown-ups use: whenever you get money, you can split it into three parts — some to spend, some to save, and some to share. It's a lovely way to enjoy your money and be kind at the same time.

The spend part is for treats now — a little something you fancy today. The save part goes in your piggy bank, growing toward something bigger. And the share part is for giving — maybe to help someone, buy a friend a birthday present, or give to a good cause. Sharing feels really good, and it's a wonderful habit to start young.

You could even use three jars: one for spend, one for save, one for share. Every time you get money, pop some in each jar. Over time, you'll see your save jar grow, enjoy little treats from your spend jar, and feel proud each time your share jar helps someone. That's being brilliant with money!

You did it! You've finished Money Explorers. You now know what money is, how to save and spend, the difference between needs and wants, how to earn, and the spend-save-share idea. When you're a bit older, the next adventure — Money Champions — will be waiting for you.
